In 1968 the Mulleady Group of Companies was formed by the late Mr. Frank Mulleady and Mr. Anthony Mulleady. The company names are as follows: Mulleadys Ltd., Mulleady Construction Co. Ltd., and Longford Precast & Prestressed Concrete Products Ltd. The above companies now employ 125 people, 65 of which are employed by Mulleadys Ltd. - Waste Management Division. The Group is located on 35 acres at Cloonaugh, Drumlish, Co. Longford. Each company has its own structure in place. The Managing Director for the three companies is Mr. Anthony Mulleady.

Mulleadys Ltd. is operating from a 9 acre, fully EPA licenced site in Drumlish, Co. Longford. Our waste licence at the facility allows us to accept up to 95,000 tonnes of waste per annum into the facility (Waste Licence No: W0169-01). We are also permitted waste collectors in the Midlands, Connaught, Northern Eastern and Cork Regions. We are licenced to accept solid non-hazardous waste comprising of domestic, commercial, industrial and construction and demolition wastes.

We do not accept clinical waste i.e. syringes, needles, bandages or any other clinical wastes, chemical wastes i.e. medicines, paints, inks, insecticides, herbicides, agri-chemicals, white spirits, solvents, spray cans etc., drums of liquids of any kind, liquids, sludges, asbestos products (sheets or bags), fuel / oil contaminated wastes or dead animals.

We have our own dry recyclable picking station where all material collected in the blue wheelie bins is sorted. These materials include newspapers, magazines, cardboard, plastic bottles, steel, aluminium cans and tetra pak. These materials are baled separately at our facility and after sorting sent direct to mills for recycling.

The general public have now access to a modern civic amenity facility located on Mulleadys Ltd. site where all types of general waste, dry recyclables, organic wastes, waste electronic and household hazardous wastes can be catered for.

We are well researched in the area of waste management and have incorporated best available techniques with regard to waste management. Our waste management infrastructure is in keeping with current Government legislation and with the Midlands Waste Management Plan. We can cater for waste and recyclables from domestic, commercial and industrial sources utilising a modern materials recovery facility.
